This week we have begun our athletics unit focusing on running, throwing, and jumping techniques.  The students have been challenging each other while working in teams competing in relay races.  They have also been extending their endurance running laps around our track.  We have begun to talk about running technique, making sure our arms are swinging while we run.  A good tip for coordinating running is to have the student focus on throwing their elbow straight back.  When they do this the rest of the body follows and gets the runner into a rhythm.
