In Reception we have been using our hands to bounce,catch and shoot basketballs. We also drop and catch and throw, clap our hands and catch. Its pretty difficult but with practise we have been getting better.
We have also been using our feet and moving,stopping and turning with the ball. We make sure we use both our feet and try and keep the ball close. We really liked scoring goals especially when Coach Schoff was the goal keeper!
We have played some new tag games as well. Hunter and Rabbits and Octopus tag.


In Nursery we have also been taking turns at being the tagger and are really starting to enjoy stuck in the Mud and Toilet tag. We are getting much quicker at running away and also at changing direction. We have been enjoying the lovely weather and have been playing with lots of different equipment to throw and chase,ribbon balls, quoits,frisbees and rockets. We love throwing high and watching where they will land.

RAIN -  This week Nursery and Reception have had some lessons in the hall because of the rain. Nursery have been remembering how to find big spaces to sit in and how to stop like a statue!  They also have been learning how to play Stuck in the Mud Tag!
SHINE - Outside we have continued to look at activities for Push and Pull and have played with hoops,basketballs,soccer balls and hockey sticks,balls and goals.

RAIN - Reception when inside have played Ball Tag and have been taking turns to be the Tagger. They also know how to free people with their ball. It is fast and furious! 

SHINE - to warm up we play Toilet Tag - perhaps you can all play at home if the sun shines this week- end. Also we have been learning how to use our feet to dribble, change direction and stop the soccer ball. It can be quite tricky not using our hands!

What a great week we have had. Sports Day was lots of fun for Reception and Nursery students. The sun was shining and there were lots of dazzling smiles as everybody ran,bounced,jumped and crawled their way around the different pieces of equipment.

In Nursery and Reception PE this week we have been playing tag games, running around the track and using equipment to Push and Pull. We played with sticks and balls pushing and pulling and shooting goals, we pushed and pulled hoops, trolleys and soccer balls. Sometimes we played on our own and sometimes in 2's.

Reception children love the Bean Game and can show you how to play especially if they have some energy to burn. They particularly like the French Bean -  Ooh La La!!
