This week we listened “The Carnival of the Animals” by Camile Saint-Saens, and we identified the mood and character of each animal. The children recognized which instruments were being used to represent each animal and which animal was being played when hearing the music.
This week we reviewed the families of musical instruments and we listened “Peter and the Wolf “, a musical story by Sergei Prokofiev. Each character in the story has a musical theme played by a different instrument in the orchestra. We identified the instruments and their families.
