This week we have been working on developing our throwing skills within the different ways we can throw. We have worked on throwing gently with the purpose of passing the ball to a partner so that they can catch it, as well as throwing hard and accurate in order to hit a target.
One of the games that the children have been playing utilizes these skills is called "Clean Your Room". Students can throw in any manner than they want underhand, overhand, one at a time, three at a time, short, for distance, or for accuracy.
We encourage using proper form when throwing. The most important step to set up a good throw is to start with the opposite foot, to your throwing hand, forward.
